Psychological evaluation is doctoral-level work. Master’s-level clinicians, including many excellent therapists, are not licensed to administer and interpret psychological testing or to render diagnoses through formal assessment.
This is a difference in scope and licensure, not a comment on anyone’s skill. It is simply the reason a therapist who has reached the limit of what their role can answer needs somewhere to send the question.
