Sometimes the question is not which treatment to try next. It is what the diagnosis actually is. A diagnostic evaluation produces a clear answer, along with a written report explaining what the findings mean and what they rest on.

DIAGNOSTIC CLARIFICATION
A person can spend years in good treatment with the wrong diagnosis attached to their file. Not because anyone was careless, but because the presentation was ambiguous and nobody had the tools to test it directly.
Diagnostic clarification uses standardized instruments to answer the question rather than infer it. The report states what was found, what was ruled out, and what the conclusions are based on.
SECOND OPINION
A second opinion is appropriate when a diagnosis has been made and something about it does not fit. Perhaps treatment based on it has not worked. Perhaps the original assessment was brief, or was done a long time ago, or was done without testing.
Dr. Jovanovic conducts these independently. The evaluation reaches its own conclusion, whether that confirms the original diagnosis or does not.
